At the beach
My friend L. organized a pot luck at the beach for Mother's Day. I might sound a bit uncommon, but I find it a genius idea. We let the kids roam freely, keeping and eye on them while we were having cheese and refreshments. We were quite happy moms this afternoon!
SoI took a picture and made a quick sketch that I painted at home. Putting fond memories in watercolor makes them even more special!
Je vais vous demander votre indulgence pour celle-ci, c'est ma première marine! J'ai l'oeil pour les toits parisiens, les terrasses à l'ombre, et les champs de blé beaucerons, pas trop pour la mer et les palmiers. On croirait, après douze ans de vie en Californie, que j'aurais intégré tout cela, mais j'imagine qu'il me faudrait une autre enfance à muser le nez en l'air pour bien tout voir comme il faut. Heureusement, j'ai celle de mon fils...
