Mum is the word.

I have been experimenting with felt pens and black ink. They don't mix together so well. I had to reverse the usual way, which is to sketch, ink and finish with color, to sketch a little ( just for structure and only if necessary ) , then color ( which is now involved in the sketching process) then ink. The way I work it it doesn't smudge, and with some nice paper the colors make  nice, neat shapes. It goes my way, too, since colors are my favorite part, and I like that color comes first before the shape. It's a different way to think from classic illustration : and it suits me.
